There is much more to bedding than comforters and quilts. Many people are surprised to find out that there are so many different types and sizes available to consumers. Explained on this page are the answer to the many bedding questions you may have.
Bed Sizes
All bedding sizes refer to the size of the beds mattress.
Toddler beds use a standard size crib mattress. So the sheets used during the crib stage will still be able to be used on your child's new toddler bed. Toddler beds make a great transition to a big bed because they are low to the ground for your big kid to get in and out of all by himself.
Twin is also known as single bed that is used for one person. Typically twin is found in kids rooms and in spare guest bedrooms. The dimensions of a twin size bed: 39" wide x 75" long"
Twin Extra Long beds are found in dorms. They are best because dorm rooms are small. Most college students are to tall for a standard twin bed. The bedding for these beds do not have the largest variety but can be found. A Twin XL bed measures: 39" wide x 80" long
Full size or double size bed is a used in hotel rooms for two people. Those desiring more space may prefer to sleep on this size all by themselves. This bed measures 54" x 75" this is only giving each person 27" of space each. This is not an ideal bed size even though it is called a double.
Queen Size is a common size with couples. This bed measures 60" wide x 80" long.
Standard King Size or D. King is a dual king, also known as an eastern king. This bed measures 76" wide x 80" long.
California King size (C. King, Cal. King) or mostly known as or Western King measures 72" wide x 84" long.
